Every SE, Pro, and Industrial deployment includes a Pilz PNOZ s3 safety relay — SIL2 certified (IEC 62061), PLd/Cat 3 (ISO 13849-1). SIL2 is the same safety category used in industrial robotics and automated manufacturing cells. This is not an optional upgrade. It ships in every deployment above Node tier.

Every RigidSense sensor feeds directly into the RigidPulse control loop — vibration data adjusts feed rate in real time, current signatures predict tool wear before failure, acoustic emission detects bit breakage in under a millisecond. Node tier observes and advises only. SE and above observe and act. The sensor data RigidSense collects is simultaneously fed to RigidVault for historical analysis and to RigidAI for pattern recognition across your machine fleet. The Retrofit Story

Already own a CNC? The Node plugs right in.

The RigidPulse Node connects to your existing CNC controller via USB serial. It reads your machine state in real time — position, feed rate, spindle speed, alarms, job progress — without touching a single wire. Your machine keeps working exactly as before. You just added a brain to it.

What you get for free from the USB connection: real-time X/Y/Z position, feed rate, spindle speed, machine state, alarms, G-code modal state, job progress, and override values. That's dashboard, remote monitoring, job history, and alerts — all from a USB cable.

Add RigidSense accessories to see what's really happening: clamp-on current sensors on motor wires show actual load per axis. A vibration sensor on the spindle head detects chatter. Temperature, power, air, audio, vision — each adds another layer of intelligence. No wiring changes. Each sensor plugs into the Node.

The upgrade path is natural: once you're on the Node and loving the AI recommendations, the conversation becomes — "imagine if the AI could act on what it's sensing instead of just suggesting." That's the SE. And that's a controller swap, not a machine replacement.

Compatible Machines

AltMill (all sizes), Avid CNC, Shapeoko Pro/XL, OpenBuilds LEAD, PrintNC, any grblHAL or LinuxCNC machine. If it has a USB port or serial connection, the Node can read it.

What Node Can't Do

The Node observes and advises. It cannot correct chatter in real time, adjust feed rates automatically, or detect following errors — that requires closed-loop motor control (SE and above). No accessory crosses that line.
